Watercolour never ceases to fascinate me, its technical challenges and beauty. The craft of painting is important to me, each work teaches me something new about the medium. Subjects vary but it is colour and pattern that begin the process of wanting to paint. I do not usually depict figures, aiming not to personalise the view or objects too much, allowing the spectator to enjoy both the medium and any associations and memories of their own.”
